2009 Jeep Compass tailgate shock struts.
17 years of winters finally ended the support struts on the tailgate of my Jeep. I had just bought a cart full of groceries when I realized the gate wouldn’t stay open. I had to hold it up on my shoulder and head while putting all the bags in the vehicle. It’s heavier than I expected. That same day I searched the internet for replacements and ran into “a-premium.” They had a price that was as good as anyone else so I placed the order. It was an easy process, they arrived just a few days later. The install was easy. I can damn near hang on the gate before it closes now, these things are built well. Does not fit my Honda Civic Si. I was able to remove the motor and fan and install them in the bracket from my car. Seems to be working OK now. Does not fit my 2002 Honda Civic Si
Neither part fits my 2002 Honda Civic Si. I was able to remove the motor and fan and mount them in the bracket from my car, and both units are now working. The mounting brackets are not even close to the original. Despite this the installation wasn't too difficult, although I didn't follow the instructions in the video - I removed the clamp which holds the radiator; things were straightforward with that part out. Ease of purchasing items
