<h2>What is a propshaft coupling?</h2>A propshaft coupling, also known as a universal joint (U-joint), is a mechanical device that connects the transmission output shaft to the driveshaft, which in turn transmits power to the rear differential of a vehicle.The propshaft coupling typically consists of two yokes or flanges, one attached to the transmission output shaft and the other attached to the driveshaft. These yokes are connected by a series&nbsp;of bearings that allow for movement in multiple directions, such as up and down, left and right, and rotational movement.The design of the propshaft coupling is critical to the proper operation of the vehicle's drive&nbsp;train.
