<h2>What is a propshaft coupling?</h2>A propshaft coupling, also known as a universal joint (U-joint), is a mechanical device that connects the transmission output shaft to the driveshaft, which in turn transmits power to the rear differential of a vehicle.The propshaft coupling typically consists of two yokes or flanges, one attached to the transmission output shaft and the other attached to the driveshaft. These yokes are connected by a series&nbsp;of bearings that allow for movement in multiple directions, such as up and down, left and right, and rotational movement.The design of the propshaft coupling is critical to the proper operation of the vehicle's drive&nbsp;train. It allows for the transfer of power&nbsp;to the rear wheels while accommodating any movement or vibration that may occur during operation.<h2>How does a propeller shaft coupling work？</h2>The&nbsp;propeller shaft coupling&nbsp;allows for movement and vibration between these two components while still transmitting power.When the engine is running, it generates power that is transmitted to the transmission. The transmission then uses gears to convert the power to the appropriate torque and speed for the wheels. The output of the transmission is then sent through the propeller shaft coupling to the differential, which distributes the power to the wheels.As the transmission output shaft rotates, the yoke attached to it also rotates. This causes the bearings in the coupling to transfer the rotational energy to the yoke attached to the differential input shaft.
