I recently ordered a water pump, thermostat, and fuel pump from A-Premium.  The fuel pump and water pump arrived, but not the thermostat.  When I picked the items up, both were rattling around inside their boxes. Upon opening them, I noticed only a small amount of ¼" bubble wrap had been used—certainly not enough to secure delicate auto parts.

When I contacted an A-Premium representative, I was told all three items had been shipped in their own boxes inside another box. Based on how they arrived, I assume something happened during transit.  

The fuel pump in particular was concerning. It did not move smoothly during inspection, but I installed it anyway in hopes that fuel would correct the issue. It didn’t. Since A-Premium was closed for the weekend, I had to order a replacement pump from another vendor with overnight shipping. That pump arrived securely packaged in 1" bubble wrap, included a gasket, and worked perfectly once installed. By comparison, the poorly packaged A-Premium pump was defective, and I had to provide a video of the failure before I could receive a refund.

I later received the replacement thermostat, and again, it rattled loosely in the box with only minimal bubble wrap for protection. While the water pump and thermostat I installed appear to be working properly, the packaging for all three items was very poor.

To be clear, I do not blame A-Premium for any transport or delivery issues. The real problem is with the packaging itself. A fuel pump is a precision component that requires secure packing to prevent damage during shipping. The careless packaging is, in my opinion, the reason the pump failed.

I received the wrong part, it said exact fit but it had a different connection. I contacted customer service and was offered a replacement or a refund. I went with the refund since I was able to get sooner somewhere else. Otherwise customer service was great.

Wrong part

Parts came in on time.  No problem while installing.  It's been couple of weeks. It's still working great. Overall very happy.

I ordered a water pump for my 2009 BMW X5 , though wrong part, the ordering was easy and simple the part arrived early which usually doesn't happen and return experience was one of best I've dealt with in ordering things online and will be doing business with A premium in the future based on easy and reachable human customer service and decent prices
