I use these to build coil spring floating dock cable dampeners called "Dock Springs".  They absorb the kinetic energy created by a dock's mass moved by the wind.  The CC648 springs work well and are suited for the forces involved.  Under a truck, they will be fine.  On dock anchoring cables, they also are fine.  See example in pic.

These were an exact fit for my 1997 Camaro RS. has the same ride height as the Y87+F41 RPO code springs. Made the car sit a little higher, but it's barely noticeable, and the car plants better around corners, and the ride quality is great. Price to performance is 10/10.
